Juan Soto
Director of Underwriting
As Director of Underwriting at Funded Capital, Juan oversees the credit, risk, and deal-structuring decisions that keep every loan both investor-friendly and lender-safe. Recently promoted from Loan Processor, he brings a rare combination of front-line file management experience and big-picture underwriting discipline to every transaction.
Juan plays a key role in reviewing borrower experience, credit, and collateral, collaborating closely with the sales team and capital partners to structure deals within Funded Capital’s guidelines while moving files efficiently from initial scenario to clear-to-close.
His background in processing gives him a deep understanding of what it takes to keep investors informed, underwriters confident, and closings on schedule, which makes him a trusted internal resource on complex or time-sensitive deals.
Known for his calm, detail-oriented approach, Juan is focused on protecting capital while helping serious real estate investors scale their portfolios with confidence.

Josh Gonzalez
Director of Sales
As Director of Sales at Funded Capital, Josh Gonzalez leads the front-end of our lending operation—from first contact to loan submission. After excelling as a Senior Loan Strategist, Josh was promoted to oversee the loan application and submissions process, as well as the performance and development of our loan strategists and loan officers.
Josh works directly with real estate investors, builders, and developers to ensure they receive clear guidance, fast responses, and financing structures aligned with their investment goals. He is highly experienced across Fix & Flip, DSCR rental, new construction, and portfolio loans, and is known for translating complex lending guidelines into simple, actionable options for clients.
On the internal side, Josh is responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team. He sets daily and weekly activity standards, coaches team members on deal structuring and communication, and collaborates closely with processing, underwriting, and closing to keep files moving and reduce friction from application to approval.
Under Josh’s leadership, the sales team is focused on three core outcomes: better-quality submissions, faster turn times, and a consistently exceptional borrower experience. When investors work with Josh and his team, they get more than a quote—they get a proactive partner committed to helping them scale their portfolios with confidence and clarity.
